Hand, Wrist, and Elbow

Dr. Skeete is an orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship-trained in hand surgery and specializes in treating injuries and conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow.  Dr. Skeete joined Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center in September 2015.

After completing her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, with a minor in engineering, at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dr. Skeete earned her medical doctorate from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. After receiving her medical degree, Dr. Skeete went on to complete her residency in general surgery at the David Grant United States Air Force Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, California, and completed her residency in orthopaedic surgery in the 59th Medical Wing—Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Dr. Skeete also completed her fellowship in hand surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Skeete was inspired to pursue medicine because of her passion for taking care of people and improving their lives. Additionally, she chose to specialize in hand surgery in order to solve complex problems and restore critical function to enable people to interact with the world. She has also spent 14 years in the United States Air Force and is a member of the Air Force Reserve. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Skeete enjoys running, CrossFit, surfing, paddle boarding, snowboarding, climbing and being a mother to her three boys.
